Down Syndrome Ireland

About us

Established in 1971, the organisation was built upon campaigning, advocating, fundraising and celebrating the lives of people with Down syndrome.  Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI) is the voice of people with Down syndrome and their families throughout Ireland. The charity has over 3,500 members with 25 branches nationwide.

Down Syndrome Ireland provides ‘all-through-life’ support services to people with Down syndrome with specialists in the areas of new parents, health, early development, speech and language, education, employment and independence that enhance the lives of thousands of children and adults with Down syndrome across the country.

With only 23% State funding, Down Syndrome Ireland are heavily reliant on public fundraising to continue providing their essential services. Your very kind support will go towards their important work, and they are truly grateful to you for helping to make a real difference.
